Marquette Strategic Analysis
Could your nonprofit benefit from the expertise of Marquette University’s professors, administrators, and students?
Each year, M-LINC coordinates a program that capitalizes on the expertise of students and administrators at Marquette University’s Law School, College of Business Administration, College of Professional Studies, and College of Communications.
This program provides the selected nonprofit with a free comprehensive legal and strategic analysis. WasteCap Wisconsin, Inc. (WasteCap) was selected as the subject of the 2008-2009 Marquette Strategic Analysis. WasteCap is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides waste reduction and recycling assistance to businesses. WasteCap, created in 1996, assists and encourages companies to implement solid waste management practices. The services WasteCap provides are made possible through member fees, consulting fees, sponsors, and grants.
Nonprofit organizations that have a specific issue requiring a multidisciplinary and strategic analysis are eligible to apply for this service. If selected for participation, members of the nonprofit’s staff and board of directors meet with interdisciplinary team of Marquette University faculty, students, and Milwaukee community advisors to address the legal, financial, governance, and public relations issues of the organization. The organization will receive a comprehensive planning report at the end of the clinical program.
